The Village of Salmo is looking for a dedicated Level II Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator to contribute to the Public Works team. In this role, you will inspect wastewater systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage data collection and reporting. The position requires solid teamwork skills while participating in infrastructure renewal projects and responding to emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections of wastewater treatment and collection systems
• Manage data collection and reporting for regulatory needs
• Operate public works machinery and perform physical tasks




• Assist with emergency snow removal and on-call duties
• Collaborate on infrastructure planning and management
Requirements:
• Valid EOCP Wastewater Treatment Level II certification
• 4 years of experience in a municipal wastewater setting
• Proficient with SCADA and Microsoft software programs
• Current Class 5 BC Drivers Licence and clean driving history
• Certified Backflow Assembly Tester by BCWWA
