In this role, you will lead a comprehensive portfolio focused on parks, recreation, and cultural programs. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work with a large team to align services with community and Council goals. Your leadership will play a key role in enhancing quality of life and fostering inclusive community services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide the strategic vision for parks and recreation services
• Manage a large, unionized team and service delivery
• Foster partnerships and community engagement initiatives




• Ensure alignment with Council priorities and strategic plans
• Oversee budgets for operating and capital projects
Requirements:
• Relevant degree in Recreation, Public Administration, or similar
• Minimum of eight years of leadership experience in a public sector
• Effective relationship-builder and strategic thinker
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required
• Experience in unionized settings preferred
