Wabtec seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to maintain and develop software solutions for our cutting-edge transit technology. This role focuses on embedded Linux applications and offers a chance to refine your technical expertise.
As part of Wabtec's software team, you will report to the Software Manager and take charge of both maintaining and creating software solutions. You'll bring your technical skills to improve existing products while creating recent software tailored to client needs. A passion for programming and a willingness to leverage AI will propel your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily stand-ups to coordinate projects
• Analyze and define software requirements
• Create software designs that meet formal specifications
• Implement software changes and enhancements
• Resolve defects through thorough debugging
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in software-related field
• At least 5 years of C programming expertise
• Experience in embedded systems and bare metal programming
• Explicit verbal and written English communication
• Legal authorization to work in Canada for this job
