Financial Controller/Accounting Manager Manitoulin Chrysler is looking for a full-time Financial Controller/Accounting Manager to oversee the dealership’s accounting and financial operations.
Position Overview The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll, commissions, reconciliations and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced automotive dealership workplace.
Requirements The ideal candidate will have:
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field
CPA designation is considered an asset
Strong proficiency with accounting software
Ability to learn and work with a DMS system
Working knowledge of GAAP
Solid analytical and organizational skills
Previous accounting experience is required
Automotive dealership experience is preferred
Responsibilities Key responsibilities include:
Processing payroll and calculating commissions
Processing vehicle sales and purchases
Reconciling daily sales
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements




Preparing management reports in a timely manner
Preparing HST and other required government filings
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and corporate policies
Coordinating audits with auditors, financial institutions and government agencies
Monitoring cash flow, working capital and inventory valuation
Providing financial reporting and analysis to support management decisions
