Role: Data Analyst

Location: Remote

Type: Contract

Rate: CAD55/hr - CAD65/hr

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to perform requirements analysis and refine functional and technical specifications
- Prepare Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents with accurate data definitions, transformation logic, and mapping rules
- Analyze, interpret, and validate data to support business needs and data engineering processes
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, and business teams to ensure data quality and alignment with solution designs
- Support ETL/ELT development processes by providing detailed mapping, data rules, and validation inputs
- Participate in data model reviews and contribute to the design and improvement of data structures in the warehouse workplace.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Strong proficiency in SQL, with hands‑on experience using Snowflake (highly preferred)
- Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling,



data vault modeling, and medallion architecture
- Good knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts, cloud data platforms, and modern data warehouse practices
- Experience working with structured and semi‑structured data
- Ability to document and communicate analytical findings and technical details clearly
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Snowflake-specific features (e.g., stages, virtual warehouses, Snowpipe)
- Experience with data integration tools (e.g., dbt, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Talend)
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
