Join Robin Hood Association as a Full-Time Community Disability Practitioner in Sherwood Park. Your role will empower individuals with disabilities through support and access to community resources.
Working weekdays from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, you will focus on fostering independence and providing advocacy to those with developmental and physical disabilities. Engage with individuals, families, and community representatives while ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety standards. Your cooperative teamwork will enhance the lives of individuals you support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of individual service plans
• Foster participation in community activities and services
• Maintain safety protocols by monitoring settings
• Ensure accurate communication of important information
• Assist and mentor individuals towards personal goals
Requirements:
• Rehabilitation Diploma or related education preferred
• Valid Alberta Driver’s License and vehicle access
• Excellent time management in wide-ranging situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic skills in coaching and mentoring
