Join North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services as a Child Welfare Assessment Worker in Kirkland Lake. Deliver critical services to children and families, emphasizing communication and organization.

This full time position with the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team focuses on providing broad children’s services. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, developing protection plans, and ensuring all documentation meets legal standards. You will support vulnerable populations through collaborative work and strong interpersonal connections.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement preventative and child protection services
• Complete risk assessments and develop plans
• Maintain required documentation for disposition




• Engage directly with children, youth, and families
• Offer services with compassion and professionalism

Requirements:
• MSW or BSW preferred; diploma may be considered
• Experience with children and youth an asset
• Robust organization and communication skills required
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Flexibility to travel and work wide-ranging hours

Contribute to the safety and well-being of families, ensuring support and protection through effective intervention strategies.
