Join the City of Brandon's team as a full time Utility Worker responsible for maintaining transit shelters. Your focus will be on exterior upkeep, snow removal, and routine cleaning tasks.
This indefinite term position prioritizes internal applicants from CUPE Local 69 but is open for everyone. Typical responsibilities include cleaning shelters inside and out, managing garbage bins, and enhancing overall transit facility appearance. You will operate necessary equipment and tools while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and clean transit shelters' interiors and exteriors
• Operate loader for effective snow removal at bus stops
• Perform routine garden maintenance around transit facilities
• Notify supervisor regarding necessary repairs and material needs
• Fuel maintenance equipment for operational efficiency
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 driver's license (Manitoba)
• Experience performing maintenance tasks independently
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Robust motivation and commitment to quality work
