The Chilliwack RCMP is seeking three Victim Services Caseworkers for casual positions. You will deliver critical incident stabilization, emotional support, and ensure victims receive necessary information and referrals. Your role involves liaising with police, emergency personnel, and local agencies to serve victims of crime and trauma effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide crisis intervention at police call-outs and emergency scenes
• Offer emotional support to victims and next-of-kin
• Liaise with agencies for services like counseling and legal advice
• Update clients on police investigations and court progress
• Assist victims in completing compensation applications
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year post-secondary studies in related discipline
• Experience in a police agency or criminal justice system preferred
• Valid BC Driver’s License required
• Ability to perform clerical duties with minimal supervision
• Maintain required RCMP security clearance
