Reporting to the Senior Resource Geologist, you'll contribute to the Island Gold District's success by creating and refining geological models for both underground and open-pit operations. This role demands integration of drilling, sampling, and production data to support effective mine planning and reconciliation efforts. Your expertise will shape critical decisions that impact Alamos Gold's commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop geological and grade block models for mining operations
• Integrate data from drilling and sampling into resource models
• Support production reconciliation between models and results
• Assist with resource updates and reports for the district
• Ensure QA/QC standards are upheld and maintained
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field
• 3–5 years mining experience, including 1–2 years in resource modeling
• Familiarity with Datamine, Acquire, and Microsoft Office
• Eligibility for GIT or P.Geo registration is preferred
• Required certifications for underground workings
