The City of Greater Sudbury is seeking two casual Water Treatment Operators in its Water and Wastewater Services department. Candidates will assist in operational tasks, perform inspections, and collect water samples. Training as an Operator-in-Training is a requirement, along with the ability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Operators and tradespersons in daily tasks
• Perform facility inspections and preventive maintenance
• Record operational data and collect water samples




• Work on a seven days a week standby schedule
• Maintain knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Requirements:
• Secondary School diploma required
• Relevant two-year diploma considered an asset
• Certification as Operator-in-Training within 18 months
• Experience in water treatment preferred
• Ability to lift 20 kg and perform confined space duties
