As a student reporting to the Community Shelter Supervisor, you will provide essential front line support to families in need. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging clients in housing-focused conversations, delivering shelter services, and developing individualized housing plans. This role is crucial for helping clients experiencing homelessness navigate their challenges and access support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide front line support to shelter clients
• Engage in housing-focused motivational conversations
• Create Individualized Housing Plans for clients
• Assist in documenting eligibility for housing programs
• Conduct mental health assessments and wellness checks
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Social Work or equivalent
• 1+ years experience with homeless populations
• Robust understanding of Housing First principles
• Proficient in MS Suite applications
• Valid certification in First Aid & CPR
Support families in their journey towards secure housing through effective services and compassionate interactions.
