Become a Customary Care Worker with Chief Kinosew Awasak Mikiwahp, supporting Driftpile Cree Nation children and youth. This vital role focuses on assessment and family permanency, emphasizing collaboration and community engagement.

The Customary Care Worker will report directly to the Post Majority & Family Community Preservation Director. You will assess potential customary care homes for children out of parental care and work closely with prevention teams and community partners to enhance child and family outcomes. Key tasks involve training, support for complex cases, and developing options to benefit children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit, screen, and support customary care homes
• Facilitate customary care training for families




• Liaise with Driftpile and other agencies
• Maintain an active caseload and monitor case plans
• Establish solid community partnerships

Requirements:
• Social Work Diploma with 3 years' experience
• Expertise in case management and assessment
• Knowledge of Indigenous child welfare laws
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Transparent police checks as required
