Wellington County is seeking a dedicated Planner for the Policy and Technology division. You will assist in developing local planning policies, interpret zoning by-laws, and engage with the community on planning issues. This role requires solid analytical skills and a team-oriented spirit, supporting the County's mandate for inclusive public service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Formulate local planning policies for the Official Plan
• Assist municipalities with planning issues and policies
• Attend and present at councils and committees
• Interpret provincial policies and zoning by-laws
• Conduct research on relevant topics for the County
Requirements:
• University degree in planning or related field
• Minimum three years of policy experience
• RPP designation or eligibility
• Knowledge of the Planning Act and provincial policies
