The Finance Group is partnering with a growing engineering and environmental consulting organization to recruit a Senior Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting
Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, forecasts, and variance analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
Deliver meaningful financial insights that support executive decision-making
Project Accounting & Business Performance
Project costing
Work-in-Progress (WIP)
Revenue recognition
Labour recovery
Utilization reporting
Project profitability analysis
Financial performance reporting




Systems & Process Improvement
Continue optimizing the organization's ERP system
Improve financial processes, reporting, and internal controls
Standardize reporting across multiple business units
Drive efficiencies through automation and continuous improvement
Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor and support the finance team
Partner with leaders across the business
Build solid relationships with operational teams
Help create alignment around financial reporting and performance metrics
Qualifications:
CPA designation required
5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Experience leading financial reporting and month-end close
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience
Experience in a project-based, consulting, engineering, construction, or professional services environment is highly preferred
Strong understanding of project accounting, utilization, WIP, labour recovery, and project profitability
Experience with ERP implementations or optimization initiatives is considered a strong asset
Advanced Excel and financial systems experience
