Podtech Data Centers, a member of the IREN Group, seeks an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain diesel generators and auxiliary equipment that ensure data-centre uptime in British Columbia. Qualified candidates will be Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians with experience in industrial power generation and safety regulations. Your role integrates various technical skills to work on complex mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and repair mechanical systems for reliability
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance




• Collaborate with operations to meet uptime goals
• Document all maintenance activities thoroughly
• Support the installation of recent mechanical equipment

Requirements:
• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician status
• Experience with large diesel generators
• Knowledge of safety protocols and WorkSafeBC
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
• Ability to undergo a criminal record check
