As a Planner I, you will report to the Manager of Current & Long Range Planning. Your main responsibilities will include reviewing and processing land use applications and coordinating with developers. Essential skills include dispute resolution and time management, with a robust emphasis on communication. A minimum of three years' relevant experience is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process land use and subdivision applications efficiently
• Liaise with developers and public for current projects
• Conduct application evaluations based on planning bylaws
• Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and agencies
• Assist in public engagement and planning document preparations
Requirements:
• Three years of relevant experience required
• Minimum two-year Diploma in Urban Planning or related discipline
• Strong understanding of municipal development regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS software
• Eligibility for membership in Canadian Institute of Planners
