Ensure collaboration between Manitoba Hydro and AMC as a Liaison in a permanent role. This position focuses on engagement with AMC Member First Nations regarding critical energy-related policies.
Under the direction of the Grand Chief’s Office, this full time role serves as the main point of contact for Manitoba Hydro. You will lead communications and facilitate relationships with AMC Member First Nations about Manitoba Hydro's policies and projects. Responsibilities also include advocating for concerns related to energy transition, affordability, and resource planning in partnership with Manitoba Hydro.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead communication between AMC and Manitoba Hydro
• Foster a cooperative relationship with First Nations
• Engage on energy transition topics and concerns
• Coordinate surveys and information sessions on policies
• Regularly report on engagement activities and outcomes
Requirements:
• Degree or experience in environmental or economic fields
• Knowledge of clean energy approach and Manitoba Hydro policies
• Experience with First Nations culture and organizations
• Proven analytical and project management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
