Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse for the HOpe Centre in North Vancouver, BC. Contribute to client-centered care and treatment for mental health patients.

In this position, you’ll play a vital role in the multidisciplinary team within the Psychiatry Inpatient Unit. You will be responsible for developing care plans and collaborating with clients and their families in recovery processes. Your skills in assessing and managing concurrent disorders will enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in comprehensive nursing assessments for clients
• Collaborate with treatment teams to create personalized care plans
• Facilitate patient education about medications and lifestyle integration




• Participate in quality improvement activities and team meetings
• Document care as per organizational standards

Requirements:
• Registered Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse registration required
• At least 240 hours clinical experience in mental health
• Familiarity with trauma-informed and recovery care models
• Skills in crisis intervention and behavioral management
• Ability to mentor and support recent staff
