Join the City of Brampton as a Traffic Signals Technologist I. This full time position focuses on implementing maintenance programs and overseeing traffic signal operations at the Williams Parkway Operations Centre.
As a Traffic Signals Technologist I, you will report to the Coordinator of Traffic Signal Systems. This role requires coordination of maintenance programs, conducting field studies, and ensuring timely responses to inquiries. You will manage both routine and special traffic signal projects while tracking vital recovery data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate routine traffic signal maintenance programs
• Monitor signals for unscheduled maintenance
• Oversee execution of traffic signal modernization projects
• Conduct field studies and prepare data reports
• Manage contracts for installations and upgrades
Requirements:
• High school graduation with additional relevant training
• 1 to 2 years of experience in traffic management
• Valid Ontario class G driver’s license
• International Municipal Signal Association Level I Certification
• Proficient in traffic analysis software
