Become a Child Youth Worker and empower youth at Pacific Coast Children’s Resources. Help individuals build independence and engage with their community through dedicated support.
As a Child Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in the lives of young people in staffed homes. Your ability to work both independently and as part of a agile team will support the development of each child’s Personal Service Plans. With a robust focus on behavior management and mental health needs, you will strengthen relationships with families and community members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advocate for and respect children’s rights
• Engage effectively with children in care
• Empower youth to achieve community citizenship
• Participate in developing Personal Service Plans
• Maintain clean living environments and assist with daily living tasks
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in community social services
• Child and Youth Care Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in Trauma-Informed Practice
• Valid First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certifications
• Transparent criminal record for engaging with youth
