As a key member of the Community Growth and Infrastructure Team, you will provide leadership and mentorship to the Building Safety staff. Your responsibilities will encompass operational oversight, enhancing service levels, and ensuring timely permit issuance. You will also act as a Subject Matter Expert on Building Safety Codes while nurturing collaborative relationships within the municipality and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee permit issuance team operations and service standards
• Mentor Safety Codes Officers on compliance and best practices
• Conduct building inspections ensuring code enforcement
• Lead conflict resolution and enhance team dynamics
• Ensure public safety under the Alberta Safety Codes Act
Requirements:
• Journeyperson certification with 3 years relevant experience
• 10 years experience in Part 3 HVAC All Buildings
• Solid technical writing and customer service skills
• Proven team-building and leadership capabilities
• Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's Licence
