Join the University of Toronto as a Legal Counsel specializing in Corporate Law in Toronto, ON, Canada. This full time position offers challenges in a dynamic legal workplace with ample career growth potential.

With a 14-month term starting in September, you will report to the Executive Director & Counsel. Your role involves providing legal services focused on corporate transactions, non-disclosure agreements, and general compliance with corporate regulations. Additionally, you will play a crucial part in managing risks and advising on relevant legal statutes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Offer legal expertise on procurement and service agreements
• Perform comprehensive legal research and risk assessments
• Negotiate and oversee commercial contracts




• Collaborate closely with various University departments
• Maintain and monitor institutional compliance

Requirements:
• LL.B or J.D. and Law Society of Ontario membership
• Minimum five years of corporate law experience
• Proficiency in intellectual property law is an asset
• Solid analytical and communication skills
• Experience in a university or public sector is preferable
