Road Maintenance Careers at Ledcor Highways Ltd.

Join our team in Alberta across various locations providing year the round employment under contracts up to seven years. We are looking for enthusiastic, team oriented individuals with a Class 1, 2, or 3 license to help keep Alberta’s highways protected.

Essential Responsibilities

- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
- Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year round, including assisting with labourer duties such as crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation.
- Work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

- Successful completion of pre employment drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 1, 2, or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
- Clear 3 year driver’s abstract.




- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset.

Work Conditions

- Shift work, on call, and night shift may be required to respond to weather patterns.
- Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC.

Rates & Premiums

- Base hourly rate from $27.25 to $31.75 per hour based on experience.
- Operator premiums starting at $8 per hour when performing winter maintenance operations.
- Operator premiums starting at $14 per hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit.
