Cambrian College’s Pathways, Partnerships, and Professional Learning has an immediate requirement for a regular part-time Academic Success Advisor. (Flexibility in scheduling is required for this role.)

Provide proactive, academic student-centered support to students enrolled in programs.

Analyze academic progress of the students as necessary.

Contact and advise students in person and/or via phone, email, and other online tools, including social media platforms.

Record and maintain student interactions.

Plan and execute student outreach activities.

Three-year postsecondary diploma or degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or comparable. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application * education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)

Three years of experience in advising students.





Must have demonstrated excellence in customer service, sound knowledge of the programs and skill sets within the Schools, and experience in student advising.

Ability to act as an effective role model for students.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise tact and positive judgment.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Cooperative skilled who promotes teamwork and works cohesively within a team-oriented environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).
