Elevate Manitoba's electrical systems as a Transmission Planning Engineer focusing on infrastructure and load studies. Enhance service reliability and customer satisfaction through cutting-edge planning.

This role within our Grid Infrastructure Planning Department sees you working directly with the Senior Planning Engineer. You're responsible for assessing transmission adequacy and developing expansion plans tailored to future electrical loads. Your interaction with industrial customers helps facilitate smooth interconnection processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Initiate transmission planning studies for network enhancement
• Conduct system studies and provide load interconnection advice
• Develop plans for current equipment and system improvements




• Write reports to authorize capital project funding
• Analyze transmission systems for reliability and performance

Requirements:
• Electrical Engineering degree and 6 years of experience
• Membership in Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba required
• Robust background in specialized power system studies
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Capacity to thrive in project study teams and committees
