Windsor Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner to enhance patient care through expert clinical management and collaboration with a specialized team. This role focuses on cancer-related health and wellness.
As a Nurse Practitioner RN(EC) in this position, you will play a crucial role in managing complex oncology cases with autonomy. Your expertise will ensure comprehensive patient assessments, effective treatment planning, and involvement in research activities. Support and educate on wellness strategies and assist in compliance with health standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead patient assessment and determine medical diagnoses
• Collaborate with oncologists and other physicians for care delivery
• Conduct interprofessional education and training sessions
• Participate in research to advance nursing practices
• Develop policies and procedures for improved care
Requirements:
• At least 2 years as an acute care Nurse Practitioner
• RN(EC) license from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Oncology certification preferred
• Research methodology experience required
