Support women's recovery at The Salvation Army as a Peer Support Worker. You’ll provide supervision and guidance in the women's treatment unit, focusing on client engagement and support.
In this role, you'll work under the Treatment Assistant Manager, offering dedicated afternoon and overnight support to clients at Harbour Light's Treatment Program. Responsibilities include facilitating step-work groups, administering medication, and maintaining safety while monitoring client well-being. Your presence will play a significant role in helping women navigate their recovery journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and support clients in the women’s treatment unit
• Facilitate weekly Step-Work Group sessions
• Administer prescribed medications during shifts
• Document all client interactions and check-ins
• Uphold confidentiality and support clients with resources
Requirements:
• One year experience with female-identifying clients
• PeerConnectBC Peer Support Worker Certification preferred
• Knowledge of 12-step recovery principles
• Commitment to The Salvation Army’s mission
• Willingness to undergo required training
