Become an impactful STI Nurse with AVI Health & Community Services in Nanaimo. This role centers around harm reduction, supporting clients with HIV, HCV, and STI prevention and treatment.
As a Registered Nurse with the AVI Nanaimo Community Health Centre, you will provide essential services including assessment, education, and counseling related to communicable diseases. You'll work with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the health of marginalized populations through community outreach and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct client assessments for STBBI testing and treatment
• Deliver harm reduction education and consulting services
• Provide referrals for housing, mental health, and substance use support
• Facilitate access to primary and emergency health services
• Collaborate with community partners for seamless client support
Requirements:
• RN designation and registration with BCCNM
• Minimum 3 years' nursing experience in relevant fields
• Certification in reproductive health required
• Experience with harm reduction strategies
• Valid BC driver's license and CPR/BLS certification
