Take on a strategic government affairs role at NCCM, focusing on public policy that champions the rights of Canadian Muslims. Based in Ottawa, lead advocacy and relationship-building efforts.

The Senior Government Affairs and Public Policy Officer position is pivotal in promoting NCCM’s federal government relations strategy. You will work with executive leadership to shape key public policies and advocate on behalf of Canadian Muslim communities. This role requires a solid understanding of legislative processes and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop NCCM’s government relations and advocacy strategies
• Engage with federal decision-makers and maintain key relationships




• Coordinate cross-sector initiatives with various organizations
• Oversee policy research and analysis on relevant issues
• Provide strategic leadership on national public campaigns

Requirements:
• Minimum 7–10 years in public policy or government relations
• Proven experience with parliamentary affairs and advocacy
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
• Commitment to human rights and equity
• Ability to travel across Canada as required
