Ontario Shores is hiring a Recreation Therapist for its Central Recreation Program. This role focuses on assessing and implementing tailored recreation programs to support patient recovery.

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will play an essential role in developing and evaluating individualized and group programs. Your expertise will help design functional social skill programs that cater to patients’ treatment needs and promote rehabilitation. You may also provide services across different areas of the hospital as required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and evaluate therapeutic recreation programs
• Work within an interdisciplinary team for patient care
• Develop strength-based social skills programs




• Assess patient needs and implement appropriate plans
• Participate in service delivery throughout the hospital

Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Therapeutic Recreation
• 2 years of related experience in mental health
• Comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current CPR Level HCP certification
