Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a full-time Janitor Maintenance Worker in Courtenay, BC. You'll maintain cleanliness, perform repairs, and oversee building operations on-site.
This permanent position involves reporting to the Site Manager and requires adherence to Lookout's mission and Code of Ethics. Candidates should be prepared for a variety of janitorial and maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe and clean setting for residents and staff. You’ll work Monday through Friday with 7.5-hour shifts, contributing to essential functions across the building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sweep, wash, and wax floors throughout the facility
• Remove garbage and manage recycling containers
• Monitor and upkeep building equipment and supplies




• Perform repairs including plumbing and landscaping
• Supervise recent staff and volunteers during their tasks
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education with 2 years’ related experience
• Building Service Worker Diploma is preferred
• Must possess Occupational First Aid Level 1
• Robust communication and organizational skills
• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
