Join NTPC as a Journeyperson Powerline Technician in Fort Smith, NT, focusing on construction and maintenance of electrical systems. This role involves supporting various service areas including Dehcho/Sahtu and North Slave regions.

As a vital member of the Transmission Distribution Operations Division, you will perform high-level work, constructing and maintaining lines from 5kv to 138kv, and ensuring the effective operation of transformers and substations. Your expertise will aid in troubleshooting issues and performing routine customer service tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Construct and maintain distribution lines and substations
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems across regions
• Perform customer service meter readings and installations




• Select transformers and conductors for system upgrades
• Familiar with test procedures for various electrical equipment

Requirements:
• Journeyperson Power Lineperson certification required
• Minimum five years of relevant experience
• Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification an asset
