This role requires you to conduct routine and specialized testing that influences patient care regarding genetic diseases. You will prepare and analyze patient samples, perform FISH techniques, and provide interpretations vital for treatment decisions. Your work will help enhance the health outcomes of diverse patient populations at one of Canada's leading teaching hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and complex testing for genetic conditions
• Execute chromosome and FISH analyses on patient specimens
• Maintain accurate documentation in the lab information system




• Participate in quality assurance and safety protocols
• Provide training and mentorship to current staff

Requirements:
• Degree with advanced diploma in Clinical Genetics
• Active or eligible CMLTA registration
• Experience in clinical Cytogenetics and/or Molecular Genetics
• Robust attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to operate lab software and systems effectively
