As a Licensed Water Operator, you will report to the Supervisor of Environmental Services and operate essential water treatment systems. This role includes monitoring, repairing, and maintaining water distribution equipment, ensuring adherence to legislative and regulatory standards. Your expertise will play a critical role in water testing and performance optimization throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and maintain water treatment and distribution systems
• Operate SCADA systems for monitoring and control
• Conduct water sampling and testing for quality assurance




• Maintain accurate logs and records for compliance
• Perform emergency repairs and routine preventive maintenance
Requirements:
• Community College Diploma in Environmental or Civil Engineering Technology
• Class 1 Certification for water distribution preferred
• Willing to obtain Class 3 certification
• Knowledge of Secure Drinking Water Act regulations
• Availability for on-call duties and emergencies
