Join Turning Point Youth Services in Toronto as a Youth Worker and make a positive difference in the lives of youth. Engage with clients in a supportive congregate care setting.
This role offers a rotating schedule of 30 or 50 hours per week over an 8-month contract. You will be responsible for promoting a safe and therapeutic environment while providing direct care and support to youth aged 12 to 18. Applicants should be experienced in addressing complex issues faced by at-risk adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote a secure and therapeutic environment for clients
• Act as a Primary Worker for assigned youths
• Conduct mental health assessments and interventions
• Facilitate life skills and recreational activities
• Maintain accurate client and administrative records
Requirements:
• University/College Degree in relevant field
• At least one year of experience in a live-in care setting
• Valid UMAB certification
• Solid organizational and computer skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
