Family Lawyer — Ramachandran Law & Serene Law (Scarborough, In-Person)

Ramachandran Law and Serene Law are growing, and we're looking for a dedicated Family Lawyer to join our Scarborough team.

This is a qualified lawyer position — not an articling, summer, or law clerk role. To be considered, you must be called to the bar of the Law Society of Ontario by June 2026 and legally entitled to work in Canada. We are not sponsoring visas or considering applicants who require relocation or work authorization. Applications that don't meet these requirements won't be reviewed.

The Role

Full-time, in-person at our Scarborough, Ontario office. You'll carry a caseload of 50–60 active Legal Aid Ontario files — handling case conferences, settlement conferences, motions, and related family law proceedings from intake through resolution. You'll draft court submissions, advise and represent clients, and attend court and mediation, working directly alongside senior practitioners committed to your growth.

Compensation: $70,000–$85,000/year, based on experience.

What We're Looking For





- Called to the bar of the Law Society of Ontario by June 2026 and in good standing (required)
- Legal Aid Ontario empanelled (preferred, else LAO Mentor will be provided)
- Solid family law background across divorce, custody, support, and property division
- Courtroom experience — case conferences, settlement conferences, and motions
- Sharp legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills
- Ability to manage multiple files independently
- Full G driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for court travel
