Contribute to highway safety as a Year-Round Heavy Equipment Operator with Ledcor Road Maintenance in Fort Nelson, BC. This role involves operating heavy machinery and performing vital maintenance tasks.
As part of Ledcor, you will play an key role in maintaining the Sierra Yoyo Desan highway year-round. Responsibilities include operating snowplow trucks and other heavy equipment for tasks like crack sealing and cleaning signage. Ready yourself for outdoor work in variable weather conditions while ensuring all safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate heavy machinery including wheel loaders
• Perform essential maintenance tasks year-round
• Repair potholes and conduct safety cleanings
• Assist in labourer duties as required
• Work outside amidst wide-ranging weather conditions
Requirements:
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing
• Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
• Transparent 3-year driver’s abstract
• Previous experience with snowplow trucks is an asset
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
