What You’ll Be Doing
Application: Install 2-ply SBS torch-on membrane systems on low-slope and flat commercial/residential roofs.
Detailing: Perform exact torch welding on seams, flashings, drains, vents, and parapet walls to ensure 100% watertight seals.
Preparation: Tear-off old roofing materials, inspect substrate decks, and lay down vapor barriers, insulation, and coverboards.
Safety & Fire Watch: Operate propane torches safely according to BC safety standards, including strict adherence to post-torch fire watch protocols.
Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose leaks and structural issues on existing flat roofs and execute durable repairs.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with SBS torch-on membrane systems.
Certification: RCABC National Torch Safety (NTS) certification is highly preferred (or willingness to obtain it).
Safety: Valid Fall Protection certification and WHMIS.
Skills: Ability to read drawings/blueprints, work safely at heights,
and handle hot-work equipment effectively.
Tools: Must have basic hand tools (knife, trowel, tape measure, etc.).
Reliability: Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation to job sites or meeting points.
