Reporting to the Manager of Policy Planning, you'll oversee special planning studies and research projects. This role requires close interactions with residents and businesses to ensure compliance with local regulations. Your expertise in municipal planning will contribute significantly to the city’s long-range growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete specialized land use studies and planning projects
• Process and evaluate development applications and reports
• Advise agencies and individuals on planning matters




• Assist in general planning administration tasks
• Represent the City at Ontario Land Tribunal hearings
Requirements:
• 4-year degree in Planning or equivalent field
• 3 years planning experience, preferably municipal
• OPPI membership preferred
• Solid understanding of Planning Act and regulations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
