Become an integral part of the University of Manitoba as a Teaching Assistant for the Biostatistics for the Health and Human Sciences course. This role focuses on supporting lab sessions and guiding students in using SPSS for statistical analyses.
You’ll be responsible for teaching the 2-hour lab sessions for CHSC 7810. This includes preparing instructional materials, grading assignments, and providing student consultations. Robust skills in biostatistics, statistical software, and previous teaching experience will enhance your contribution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach 2-hour lab sessions weekly
• Answer student questions and provide consultations
• Demonstrate SPSS for statistical analyses
• Prepare and grade lab assignments and materials
• Assist in grading of course tests and invigilate exams
Requirements:
• Expertise in biostatistics/statistics or research methods
• Effective communication skills in English
• Empathetic approach to student needs
• Eligible under a valid study permit
• Full time enrollment at University of Manitoba
