You will assist children requiring individualized support, working closely with the Inclusive Education Lead and classroom teachers. Your experience in special education will enable you to meet each student's unique needs and challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with complex sensory needs and behaviors
• Facilitate learning through communication systems
• Provide personal care and toileting support
• Maintain confidentiality within the school community
• Collaborate with educators for effective student engagement
Requirements:
• Education Assistant Certificate or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience in special programming
• First Aid training and SIVA certification
• Knowledge of ASL is an asset
• Experience with augmentative communication systems
