Support residents at Hallowell House LTC in Picton, Ontario, as a Temporary Recreation Aide. Engage in fulfilling activities and enhance the well-being of our geriatric population throughout part time hours.
This position is temporary, covering maternity leave until May 2027, and involves planning, implementing, and evaluating enjoyable programs tailored to residents' needs. You'll assist with transporting residents and ensuring their participation while adhering to departmental documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and assess recreation activity plans
• Transport residents to scheduled activities safely
• Monitor residents' well-being during programs
• Maintain detailed records of activities and participation




• Work collaboratively with staff from other departments
Requirements:
• Diploma in recreation or a comparable field (or enrolled)
• Proven communication and documentation capabilities
• Experience with program planning for cognitively impaired
• Ability to work independently and manage time well
• Completion of necessary background checks required
