Join the housekeeping team at the Ladysmith Community Health Centre under Vancouver Island Health Authority. This position is key to maintaining patient safety through cleaning, linen management, and garbage disposal.
As a Cleaner, you will report to the Manager and oversee essential cleaning functions throughout the facility. Understanding Infection Control standards is crucial, as well as effective communication and organizational skills. In this role, you’ll also collaborate across departments to ensure all cleaning expectations are met without compromise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough cleaning of health care environments
• Oversee the handling and distribution of linens
• Ensure proper garbage collection and disposal procedures




• Keep detailed records of cleaning tasks
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of how to implement Infection Control techniques
• Capability to use cleaning equipment safely
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to assist clients with special needs
