About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Business Development to spearhead its Canadian business development strategy within the land systems sector. The successful candidate will be the senior business development leader, responsible for identifying, qualifying, and capturing strategic prospects. This role involves building and nurturing trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including the Canadian Armed Forces, the Department of National Defence, and various industry partners. The Vice President will also be tasked with connecting Canadian customer requirements to the company's global capabilities, leading complex pursuits,
and coordinating international resources to deliver successful solutions.
Applicants for the Vice President, Business Development position should have a solid background in business development, capture management, or strategic growth leadership, particularly within the Canadian defence, aerospace, or national security sectors. A deep understanding of Canadian defence procurement and a proven track record in leading complex pursuits with government customers are essential. Experience in representing an international defence or technology organization in Canada, developing Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) strategies, and building strategic partnerships in the defence ecosystem is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, commercially minded executive with excellent relationship-building, influencing, communication, and negotiation skills, and will be motivated by the chance to expand the company's presence in Canada while supporting the needs of the Canadian Armed Forces and the defence industrial base.
