Impact youth mental health at Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services in Kamloops as a Psychiatric Social Worker. Provide essential assessments and counseling in a supportive team workplace.
This challenging role involves close collaboration with psychologists, nurses, and social workers to support youth in the justice system. You must have a Master’s degree and clinical experience providing diverse outpatient treatment services. Key Responsibilities:
• Administer mental health assessments and evaluations
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic client support
• Assist in the development of community mental health resources
• Ensure continuous qualified growth through clinical supervision
Requirements:
• Master’s in Clinical Counseling, Social Work, or similar
• Minimum one year in adolescent mental health care
• Clinical registration with BCCSW needed within 6 months
• Hold a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license
• Experience with forensic youth populations preferred
