This one-year contract position with the UTRCA seeks an individual dedicated to flood risk management, climate adaptation, and ecosystem health. You will work on hydraulic and hydrologic models, contributing to various projects, including the Flood Forecasting and Warning System. Robust communication abilities are essential for collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support adaptation of flood risk management tools
• Assist climate change projects and low water programs
• Engage in community outreach and technical support
• Maintain water and erosion control structures
• Ensure thorough documentation of work processes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or water resource engineering
• Hydraulic modeling experience, particularly with HEC-RAS
• Familiarity with GIS and municipal regulations
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License
