Western Forest Products is currently seeking a fully qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Timberlands operations located in Port McNeill, BC .

Shifts

This position is currently on a 5x2 afternoon shift, 5 days on and 2 days off, 8 hours per day.

This role is considered safety sensitive, all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
Must be fully ticketed Red Seal HD Mechanic;




All applicants must have a valid BC driver's license and be able to provide a driver's abstract;
Preference may be given to the applicant holding a valid OFA Level 3 Certificate.

Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies
Preference will be given to those with experience in west coast logging equipment (Yarders, Log Loaders & Hydraulic Log Loaders);
Highly developed machine diagnostic and repair skills are a benefit;
Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision;
Excellent safety record and robust work ethic.
