Dexterra is hiring a HVAC technician who will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining boilers, rooftop units, heat pumps, and related systems, delivering preventative and emergency maintenance, troubleshooting BAS and minor electrical issues, ensuring refrigerant compliance, and supporting customer-focused service and small project scoping.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- PM and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and components
- Boiles and boiler components, Package rooftop systems, Heat Pumps, Unit heaters

- Respond to and perform emergency and preventative maintenance with detailed reports and strong customer service
- Communication skills with customers and team is a key resource to success
- Recover, recycle, store, and dispose of refrigerants according to environmental regulations.
- Perform minor electrical repairs (controls, contactors, motors, wiring)




- Strong BAS controls background to navigate, diagnose and repair BAS systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance programs on equipment
- Ability to price and scope out reactive repairs and small projects

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

- Experience with Installation of HVAC related equipment will be an asset
- Strong BAS controls background to navigate, diagnose and repair BAS systems will be an asset.
- Fall Protection (preferred)
- ESC Confined Space (preferred)
- ESC Elevated Work Platform (preferred)
- Energy Safety Canada CSO (preferred)
- Class 5 License (required)
- Class A or Class B Certificate (preferred Class A )
- 5 years work experience in HVAC field

Working Conditions

- Frequent walking, bending, stooping, crawling, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
