We are seeking an experienced $120,000 Senior Buyer to lead procurement activities and develop sourcing strategies for a growing food manufacturing and distribution business in Lachine (100% onsite).
Requirements:
- 5+ years in purchasing & procurement.
- Experience within the food industry.
- Fluent English and functional working French.
- Robust negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
- Solid understanding of procurement, inventory management, and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and purchasing agreements.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, availability, and supply conditions.
- Forecast purchasing needs and align procurement with inventory and customer demand.
- Identify new suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize shortages and excess stock.
- Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process and contract execution.
- Collaborate with Sales by providing market intelligence and supply updates.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous cost savings and operational improvements.
